Too Faced, NYX, and Tarte Cosmetics Haul/Review

Since getting my Too Faced Cosmetics nude eyeshadow palette I have become totally obsessed with this company. I think their make-up stays on flawlessly and the way they package their products makes it really easy to carry around in your purse. I am huge bronzer fan. I usually don't even wear blush so when I saw that Too Faced Cosmetics made a bronzer palette I had to grab one. Alas, The Bronzed and The Beautiful.

When you open it up it contains three of their most popular bronzers. And what I also really like about this set is the blush brush they give you is actually full and legit. Not like those cheap blush brushes they throw in most sets.
As you can see it is super cute with a beachy background and a mirror. Below is a close up shot:

From Left to Right: Snow Bunny, Pink Leopard, and Sun Bunny.

I love all the different shades. There is something for everyone. Below I tried to swatch the colors although the camera didn't pick it up all that well.

The next think I got in the mail were my eye pencils from NYX Cosmetics. I have been reading some great reviews about how smooth these glide on. And, I have to say everyone was spot on! The glide and pigment is amazing! And, they are so cheap! They are $3 per stick. I just purchased Brown and White (for my water line) but I need to go back to their website and get black and some additional colors.

I swatched them as well. Milk and Chocolate Brown.

I also ordered a lip gloss from NYX as well. As well as going to MAC and picking up two new lip glosses. One in Smokey and the other in Underage. (this has just been released again in a new collection)

As you can see the first one is a really nice light pink. The MAC Smokey looks like it would go on as a darker brown but it is really pretty. It wasn't something I went to pick up by myself but a suggestion from one of the make up pros at the MAC store. The last one is Underage which is a little more of a glossy nude. Needless to say, I love all three of these colors and I am very happy with my purchase.

The last thing I have is the limited edition TARTE Cosmetics lip gloss set that was offered over this past holiday season. The nice thing about this set is that it comes with a really cute reusable clutch for a night out.

As you can see it is this really pretty purplely gold clutch. Below are all the lip glosses that came with it. I am not sure of the names because they were not on the tubes.

As you can see it is every color in their line. Below are swatches from left to right in the order they are above:

They are simply divine and slide on amazing. Unfort, this was a limited edition holiday collection so you might have to go on eBay to find this.

Lush Haul

For the past few weeks I have been watching videos online and reading blogs about Lush. I had heard of them before but I didn't realize they had such a cult following until recently. Since I live in NYC I was lucky enough to go to an actual Lush store (not one in a Macy's, etc) and get a full product breakdown. Of course I fell in love with the products and decided to start out small for my first visit. I ended up buying Flying Fox Shower Gel and their blueberry mask called Catastrophe Cosmetic.

I tried the mask first and was instantly in love. It left my skin so smooth and soft and took out all my imperfections. Flying Fox also smells divine to me. I know a lot of people are iffy about the smell but I think it is amazing!

Of course, less then 3 days later I ended up going on the website and ordering all these Retro Lush products that are no longer available in the store and I will do another mini Lush Haul when I get them. However, that wasn't enough! One week from the day of my first purchase I went back to the store and now, better equipment with my Lush knowledge I ended up getting enough products to satisfy me for a while. I was picking up bath bombs, soaps, and bath bars when I figured out it would be more price efficient for me to just get one of their pre wrapped gifts since it already contained everything I already had in my basket. So I ended up getting Viva Lush Vegas Gift Set.
From left to right: Comforter Bubble Bar, Sex Bomb, Sexy Peel Soap, Avobath, The Joy of Jelly, and missing from the picture is the Play Your Card Right Massage Bar.

Since I am new to the Lush world I haven't had a chance to try all of these items out yet but I am super excited! I have only ever heard great things about all these products so I can't wait.

Since I have more Lush products coming in the mail and, I had just bought a lot at the store, I was going to try and stay away from buying anymore soaps but I just couldn't stay away from Porridge. I literally had them wrap up a piece for me, put it back and then in a moment of weakness decided to purchase it.
I can't tell you how AMAZING this soap smells. It smells like a fresh baked oatmeal cookie. It lathers so well and is really moisturizing because of all the oats that are packed in. I literally have the softest skin ever!

The final thing I got was the Buffy Body Butter. I was a little hesitate about this because I have read and seen so many reviews that have not been positive. Saying that it is too abrasive as an exfoliater. However, I had a hand treatment at the store because I had a dry patch on the top of my hand that was not going away. The Lush sales associate rubbed Buffy on it and it instantly took it away. I was really shocked! It also did not feel half as bad as everyone made it out to be. It isn't the best smelling product they have on the market either.

That's all for my Lush Haul. As soon as I get my other products in the mail I will post some more. Let me know if you have tried any of these products and your opinions on them:)

Best Nude Eyeshadow Pallette

This is my new favorite nude eyeshadow palette. Too Faced Cosmetics makes great long lasting make up. This is great palette to do a night time smokey nude eye. It is also great for everyday eye wear as well.

It also comes with three custom cards from the Too Faced make up artists to show you how to do additional day and evening looks.

Here is a better close up so you can see all the beautiful shades. I did a swatch test on my hand so you can see what they look like. The colors are just divine.

From left to right: Day: Heaven, Classic: Silk Teddy, Fashion: Nude Beach

Out of the three colors Silk Teddy is my favorite and Heaven is good for a base shadow.

From left to right: Velvet Revolver, Push-Up, Honey Pot, Sexspresso, Erotica, and Cocoa Puff

My favorite is Honey Pot. Also, Sexspresso is great for the dark portion of your nude smokey eye.

You can buy this at great set at:

You can also purchase it directly from the Too Faced Website as well:

My New Favorite Nail Polish

I just purchased these amazing nail polishes from https://www.modelsownit.com/ in the UK. Look at the cute packaging they came in! They are sold exclusively there so I had to do a big order to save some money considering the US to UK conversion rate isn't that great. I LOVE, LOVE , LOVE these colors! They have the best selection of colors and they look amazing on. The names of the colors in order from left to right are Lilac Dream, Lemon Meringue, Pastel Pink, Coral Reef, Misty Grey, and Nude Beige. If you are a first time buyer they also give you a free 4 way buffer. I painted my nails with the Pastel Pink and my toes with the Lemon Meringue.

I think this is just the perfect shade of "barbie pink."
