MAC Wonder Woman Collection

MAC is launching a Wonder Woman cosmetics collection — and judging by this preview, it is going to reach the pinnacle of comic-nerd cool. The tough-as-nails Amazon has inspired a set of bold makeup colors for Diana Prince wannabes, along with Wonder Woman's signature red-and-blue packaging. Expect lip gloss, nail polish, shimmering pigments, and more from this collaboration. (The only thing missing? An invisible jet.) Wonder Woman is one of our favorite fictional feminist icons, so we're looking forward to lassoing these goodies when they hit stores in March. See the whole collection here. I am not thrilled with the packaging as it looks a little bit "preschool-ish" but I think there are some really cool LE products coming out. I am most excited for the Powder Blush duo, mainly in Mighty Aphrodite. I think both of the MSF's look really pretty. And for some reason, I am really loving the make up bags. None of the lipsticks or the lip glosses really do it for me this time. Neither are the eyeshadow quads. I am shocked because these are usually my favorites in any MAC LE collection.

Too Faced Pixie Perfect Holiday Set

Hi All! It has been too long since my last post. Sorry I have been such a slacker. During the holiday season things tend to get a little crazy. However, with the holidays, come special holiday make up sets! There are sooo many to choose from this year but I think I found the perfect one. The Too Faced Pixie Perfect Holiday Set is not only the perfect mix of items to carry around in your purse at all times but, I looove the design they released this year.

I love the colors and the pretty flowers, butterflies and fairies. It is so girly! I also really love the texture of the make up that Too Faced Cosmetics produces. Their eye shadows and blushes always seem to go on so smoothly. Once you open your bag there is travel sized lash injection mascara, a travel sized shadow insurance, a LE eyeshadow quad and blush/bronzer duo, and a glamour gloss.

 Look at how pretty the compacts are alone! Here is what it looks like opened.

The blush/bronzer duo is my favorite. It is Snow Bunny and Papa Don't Peach. I am huge bronzer fanatic and it is always nice when I don't have to bring an additional compact with me when I go out of the house. The eye shadows have all been released in the Natural and Naked Eyeshadow sets they put out before but, they have all been re-purposed here. I really like these neutrals colors...You have a good high-light, a little shimmer and a nice matte. They include Velvet Revolver, Enchanted Forest, Totally Toasted, and Peach Fuzz.

I am a MAC NC 20 for reference. They just glide on so nicely.

And last but not least, is a close up of the lip gloss, mascara, and shadow insurance. I can't really do a swatch of those items but at least you can see what a beautiful color the lip gloss is.

The lip gloss reminds me of a NARS orgasm color but with a nicer smell.

What are your thoughts on this set? It was very affordable at only $42 and I purchased it with my Sephora VIB discount so I think I got a pretty good deal:) Any Christmas make up lemmings--I have a few more but I guess I will just have to wait and see what Santa brings me this week.

New E.L.F. LE Eyeshadow Palettes

So I am on this trip of trying out E.L.F. products along with using my daily higher end products as well. Kind of like mixing Couture and Target in fashion..lol I just saw on their website that they are launching 2 new LE Eyeshadow Palettes. One that contains 32 eye shadows for $5.00 and the other that contains 100 eye shadows for $15.00. I think these are both great deals and will make great holiday presents. I am very eager to try them out but I think I will start small with the 32 eye shadow palette. I mean for $5 I don't think you can go wrong. That is cheaper then a sandwich for lunch:) They also include a double sided mirror along with an eye shadow applicator. Below are the pictures of the two different palettes. Which one do you think you will try?

Loads of pretty colors in each one. I can't wait to try, swatch, and review.

My E.L.F. and NYX Labor Day Haul

I made a small E.L.F. haul this past week because I had a 50% of Studio coupon so the whole thing only cost me around $15. Considering 1 MAC lipstick is $14 I though this was a pretty good deal...lol

I these are pretty good dupes for NARS blushes if you don't want to spend a lot of money.

Top Row L-R: Mellow Mauve, Peachy Keen, Blushing Rose, Tickled Pink

Bottom Row-L-R: Pink Passion, Berry Merry, Fuchsia Fusion, Candid Coral

Below are swatches of the blushes in the order of above. The first hand (left) is the top row from L-R and the second hand (right) is the bottom row L-R.

These are my 2 favorite brushes from E.L.F. too. The complexion brush is sooo soft and I think it only costs $3. The other one I use for my bronzer and it costs $1.

From NYX, I just got a blush, eyeshadow and lipstick.

The blush is Desert Rose, the eyeshadow is Daisy, and the lipstick is Pumpkin Pie. Below are swatches of the blush, eyeshadow and lipstick.

My Birthday Haul!!

Sorry for the lack of posts. This past weekend was my birthday so I have been pretty busy all month leading up to it. I have managed to haul some amazing products for my birthday. All of them were either gifts or swaps but regardless they are all in one collective haul. Below is a brief overview shot.

From left to right-Urban Decay BOS Vol. 2, TARTE Femme Fatale Eyeshadow Palette, Heatherette Smooth Harmony, MAC Brunette MSF, MAC Golden Bronzer, MAC Femme Fi Eyeshadow, Dior Bronze Sun Couture Palette, MAC Hello Kitty Tippy Blush, Bobbi Brown Nectar Shimmer Brick, Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronze Powder Sable D'OR #6, MAC Hello Kitty Big Bow, and Eve Pearl Purple Eyeshadow Palette.

I am just going to highlight some of my favorite items from this group. I have tried MAC MSF's over and over again and they just do not show up on me. I still want to get that shimmer look though so, I decided to try Bobbi Brown's Nectar Shimmerbrick. Finally, a glow that shows:) I love this item. I think some of the other shimmerbricks don't show up as well because of their lack of color but this is like taking the color of NARS Orgasm blush and putting it together with a MAC MSF.

The TARTE Femme Fatal Eyeshadow Palette I am especially excited about! This palette came out about 2 years ago before I was really into make-up. I have searched high and low for this product and have not been able to find it anywhere. I am talking eBay, beauty stores in other countries, you name it I have looked there. I was in Sephora the other day looking at the TARTE cheek stains.and one of the sales associates was pulling out stock from the drawer below and low and below there was not 1 but 4 (!!) Femme Fatale Palettes. Of course they were not for sale but, I begged and pleaded with the sales person to let me purchase it. She said she would have to check with the manager because Sephora has a strict policy against letting customers purchase testers. (mind you this was technically a tester but had never been opened) Thankfully the manager on duty was someone I have become friendly with over time since I go into his store so often. It was like waiting to see if I had passed a big test to see if he was going to give it to me. I gave him "but it's my birthday tomorrow pretty please" line and it actually worked! He sold it to me and totally made my day!! Below are pictures and you will see why I was so ecstatic. The colors are just amazing! This is one of the only palettes that I have found where you can truly use it from day to night. They have a nice mix of neutrals and strong smokey eye night colors as well.

I have also managed to swap for the coveted Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. 2 I haven't had a chance to test this out yet but I am sure it is not going to disappoint.

Next up are the MAC products I managed to haul. I am pretty excited to try them out as well. I just love all the LE packaging. Especially the Heatherette collection. From left to right: Smooth Harmony, Brunette MSF, and Golden Bronzer.

And the last item that I am pretty excited to try is my Christian Dior Sun Couture Palette. I haven't had a chance to use yet but it just looks beautiful. I looove bronzers. That is my weakness and I think this palette caters to it:)
