Twelfth Annual Weblog Awards

I know I probably don't have a shot of winning because I am so new but, “Oh, what? An award? Well! (Blushing) I mean…I guess if you don’t mind…Really, writing to an audience is reward enough (flutters lashes).”
I’ve never won a blogging award and maybe that’s because my blog is very small and I don't write in it daily like all the other beauty bloggers out there do, but I do have a full time job guys!! I try my hardest to update it as much as I can:)

Tag Your It!! 33 QUESTION GET TO KNOW ME TAG!
Hey everyone! I saw the 32 QUESTION GET TO KNOW ME TAG! thread and decided to answer it in this blog post today! I noticed there are actually 33 questions, but who's counting anyway? LOL. Thank you to ElleandBlair.com member Lilah Hanson for starting this awesome tag-- I had so much fun answering it and I hope you do too. 
- Is it cute when guys kiss you on your forehead? So cute! It means they really care about you!
- A big poofy dress or a short party dress? Short party dress. Have to show off those legs!
- Are diamonds a girl's best friend? Are they ever! To bad I don't have any...lol
- Is your hair up or down today? It is up. I usually wear it down though.
- Do you straighten your hair? Only when I am going out at night or to an event. I am pretty lucky in the fact that if I let my hair air dry it dries straight.
- Favorite mascara? Make Up Forever's Smokey Lash Mascara. It is just amazing!!
- Do you get your nails done? I try to get them done as much as possible but as of lately I have just been doing them myself.
- Small or large purses? LARGE!
- Jeans or sweats? Sweats!
- Do you wear clothes/shoes/jewelry that's uncomfortable? I try not to unless I have to go somewhere fancy. I feel like the more comfortable I am the more productive I am.
- Do you text message a lot? Yes. I think I might have forgotten you can actually talk on the phone..lol
- Whats your favorite color? Rose Gold however, a normal answer would be blue:)
- Heels or flats? Flats. I live in NYC and I have to walk EVERYWHERE! And take the subway.
- Would you ever leave the house without makeup on? Sure, I do it everyday when I walk my dog.
- Walmart or Target? Target-Because they just opened one in NYC.
- Do you think lip gloss is the best!? I like lip gloss but have been liking lipstick more lately.
- Do you own any big sunglasses? All of them!
- How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? 30-45 minutes.
- Gold or silver? Ehhhhh - gold today. Probably silver tomorrow.
- Do you like to wear dresses? Yes-Especially in the summer when it is hot out!
- In the last 48 hours have you hung out with a guy? Do my co-workers count..lol
- Do you like to hold hands? Yeah, that's cute.
- What do you notice when you first meet a guy? Eyes and hair, but if he doesn't have a good personality to match then it would never work.
- Do you like making eye contact? Yes but I don't stare at people like a creepster..lol
- Would you kill for chocolate? No-In fact, eating too much chocolate makes me sick.
- On a scale from 1-10 how fun is shopping? 10+
- Do you yell a lot? Define yelling? No-lol But I do talk loudly a lot!
- Do you wear sweatpants/pajamas to school/work? I wore them to class in college all the time but now that I work that is a no-no.
- Have you ever dressed unlike yourself to impress a guy? Not that I can remember.
- What makeup could you not live without? My MAC Studio Fix in NC 20 and my MAC Refined Golden Bronzer.
- Do you fall in love easily? No. Lust-Yes
- Do you have cramps? Occasionally.
- Do you think you have the bestest friend ever? Yes-In fact I have more then one!

My HG Lipstick!!!
I have been on an endless search to find a replacement for my HG lipstick. It has literally taken me months to find it. I have been searching on every website, blog sale, and even eBay. When I went to the counter at my local Bloomingdales they said that the color had been discontinued in that formula but they had it in the new Coco Shine formula. It wasn't the same:(
Then, during cyber shopping this past weekend I found it! They were selling it at Nordstrom’s. (imagine that) I know that it hadn't been there during my whole search because they were one of the first sites I checked out. Anyways, figuring the makeup gods were in my favor I squealed with delight! Curious which lipstick it is.......
CHANEL AQUALUMIÈRE SHEER COLOUR LIPSHINE SPF 15 in Monte Carlo!!!
This lipstick was released originally in the Channel Cote D'Azur Summer 2009 collection.
"Inspired by the sun-splashed colors of Coco Chanel’s favorite resort destinations in Côte d’Azur (also known as the French Riviera in English), the collection comprises warm glowing shades in bronze, copper, beige and brown with soft, vibrant colors in pink, peach, coral and red."
If you are having trouble remembering the collection here is a quick picture of some of the other items Chanel released.
Chanel describes the Aqualumiere lipstick as a "A brilliant pop of sheer color with an ultra-creamy texture to provide an immediate sensation of softness and comfort. Lips are thoroughly hydrated with a nourishing, soothing and fortifying action." They describe Monte Carlo as a "Red Coral." It has a slight shimmer of gold. I have honestly not been able to find a dupe for this shade.
You can see how beautiful it really is in the above picture. I am so happy to have tracked this lipstick down as I was really bummed about it being discontinued. This is def. my HG lipstick.
